Big_Sandy_Lake
Just bought myself a 2012 Polaris Ranger 800 Camo. I love the machine, great power, rides like a caddilac. Only issue I have is where the shoulder strap for the seat belt connects to the frame sure makes a lot of screaching noise when moving. I think some oil will take care of the issue but it seems like a goofy set up. Anyone else experience this? Thanks
Macgyver55
Oil will attract dirt and dust and can be messy. I'd try to use a silicone/dry lubricant, or if possible, remove the bolt and install a nylon washer to stop the rubbing.
Big_Sandy_Lake
That is a good idea, I think I will try the nylon washer. Thanks.
NAMASafetyDirector
The new polaris models acutally come with a rubber washer between the seat belt flange and the frame to remedy this situation. Part number 5813829. The set up tech at the dealer should have installed these however the tech may not have known what they were for. Take a look in the plastic bag that came with the machine, they might just be in there otherwise your dealer should be able to get them for you. Big_Sandy_Lake
Thanks! I will check that out, I know that I don't have those with the bag of goodies but I will call them today. I appreciate your help.
aczr2k
They finally have taken care of that? I guess I just used a small amount of white grease, eventually it wears enought the squeak goes away.
