TUMBLEWEED
Anyone other pike hunters remember thosepike colored, wooden lures?? My gramps hada few and did those things ever catch fish. They were called "pikies" I think. I've always wanted a modern version, and waswaiting for the Rapala crew to get a clueand make one. Well, my wait is over. TheGapen crew has come out with the "POLISH"line. Besides the pike there is also a perch version. I grabbed up the 8 inchpike and marveled at the nearly identicallook to a hammer-handled pike. I can't wait to get this thing in the waterto test the action. I will report backwhen I do. RuKiddingMe
I remember seeing something about these oin another forum a few weeks back. I took a look a the site they posted and they look pretty sweet. Is there any place in the metro that carries them? I may want to give them a try.RU[This message has been edited by RuKiddingMe (edited 03-30-2004).]
Fish-n-Freak
You could try Thorne Bros. they had them at the Muskie Expo, they should still have them in the store. Really a great lure!I plan to give them a try out there in the open water. ;-)Good Luck!Steve
