TravPowers
Hi everyone, I took a trip down to the sportsmans show this year and was wondering what everyones favorite product was?
NCLaker
Great deals/discounts on fishing gear. Pure Fishing's (Berkley/Abu/Fenwick/Pflueger/etc) instant bonus freebees with purchase of certain items - included a free Pflueger sweatshirt & Fenwick wind jacket. Quality stuff and nice bonus on top of the big saving on the rod & reel purchases. Also picked up the "Boombox" portable speaker amplifiers for $20 each ... those things are amaazing. Looking at all the latest fishing boats is always a highlight. All in one place and great place to work a deals. Two friends bought new Alumacrafts last year at the show, saved a bundle! Too bad a new boat isn't anywhere in my near future
TravPowers
Yeah there was some really good deals going on there. I really liked the funiture with the fishing lures sunk in there and I was impressed with the backtroller boat that was there. That guy put a lot of thought into his boats! Down Deep
I don't think I have specific favorite product. What I like best about each show is seeing what's new in all the brands of boats. I also enjoy looking at all the "better mousetrap" products.
Drail1313
The log furniture with lures in them was very cool indeed. The boats, rv, atv are great to dream about. The girls selling leather goods should get a mention! (Not that l noticed or anything) I really like the cool places that you can book trips too. The Alaska one that you live on the boat for a week would be awesome! Did pick up some nice lures that I could not find around home.
Hookey
Have to admit it has been years since I have been to one. I am not a big crowd fan. Often those shows make me feel like I am leaving a Twins game, if you pickup both feet you will still be moving towards the door.Due to my location and work schedule I was never free to go off peak, always a Sat or Sun morning. maybe midweek would be better. TravPowers
I was working out in Oregon as a fisheries biologist working on commercial fishing boats and it was amazing seeing the different fish that came up from the deep. I would love to do that Alaska one too! I agree with you Drail, they are deserving of a mention haha
