MN Muskie Expo - I Did It

[Down to Earth]

Well it took great will power, but I went to the Expo and Friday and didn't buy a thing. Left the wallet in the car with the credit cards, cash, etc and walk in with only my $8 admission fee and my notebook.
Had a great time looking around, taking notes on a bunch of different lures I was looking at and talking to a bunch of different people at the booths. Though after coming home and looking through all the information I got, I do have a pretty hefty wish list now.
The only thing I was hoping to look at that I didn't see was the "Super Slayer" the company who makes the Slippery Sam. Seems to me they were there last year. Oh well. Hope everyone else had a great time.

I purposely didn't go, I figured if the amount of money I spent last year was any indication of what would have happened this year, I was better off staying home. I don't have the will power not to buy those "Gotta Have Them Baits". Hope you all had fun, it's a great show.

I couldn't do it!! I stayed within my budget though. Bought a couple spinner baits (CJ and Radd Dog), a Big Game twitch bait and a shallow invader.

Nice job Andy! I did it too, although it wasn't easy. I even brought the wallet with. I didn't leave it out in the vehicle like you. But about 7 hours in there on Saturday and I was only out the $8 admission. I was impressed with myself. I was tempted many times!

The Shallow Invader is one of the lures I was checking out on my list. If I had taken money in a crappie colored would have been in my hands on the way out. It is on the list for my next R&H order.

I went on saturday and wasnt tempted as much as you guys LOL!but i did get a free minny bulldawg i have got one 3 years in a row now and i also got a phatso i think its called lol its kinda crazy looking.but i think i did pretty well for not spending any money.My dad thought about buying one of those falcon rods though.

I managed to get out there. Somehow I didnt spend my every last dime of mine. But I actually did do pretty good. I only bought a Pacemaker (very excited about it) and a shallow bulldawg. Good luck this season fisherman.

I recently aquired a pacemaker also(traded Ty Sennet some venison for it) and can't wait to give it a throw. Come on June!!!
