guideman
Hi Jeff,The Brainerd Lakes chapter Meets on the second Tuesday of each month. The location is the Water fall Inn on Hwy 371 north of Brainerd by the race track. For more info; 218-765-4183 I'm not in that chapter so I'm not sure what projects they are working on right now. Their Spring banquet is coming up very soon, they have Jim Linder of in-Fisherman fame, as their guest speaker. All the money that is raised from your membership and other fundraising, goes to stocking, research and local youth projects. MI is the driving force behind all the great muskie fishing that we now have in MN. MI has been instramental in all phases of the stocking program. Not just with the actual stocking, but also rearing ponds, habitat restoration, purchasing bait to feed young muskies and also donating time, to assist the DNR with their projects. There are also chapter outings, lure swaps, take a kid fishing days, most chapters do a members only tournament. You can get as involved as you want, Ienjoy my job as RVP, but it isn't for everyone. The meetings are open to the public after the business meeting is over. Go check one out and see how it is done, I have met some great friends through Muskies Inc. Terry "Ace" SjobergArrowhead Chapter #48 RVP. ------------------ [This message has been edited by guideman (edited 01-25-2004).]

Muskie-searcher
Are there any chapters in the Duluth area? If so, when do they meet? I would really like to get some information on it. I have fished muskies in the Brainerd area (Mille Lacs, Alexander, Mississippi)for quite some time and last summer started trying some of the lakes and of course the river up here in the Duluth area with pretty good success.
