Just completed this rod for a retiring air traffic controller. It's built on the Rainshadow RX8 XSW68MX blank with zirconium guides. The handle is wood and is covered entirely by one decal that I created using a picture of the approach map emailed to me from the tower. The tower itself is in the foreground. I didn't want to risk putting something hot like PG or LS on the decal so instead I applied 6+ layers of CA and then sanded and polished it smooth with micro mesh and a final application of automotive swirl remover.

The rod is finished off with a scales wrap and butt inlaw of a tower.
