LMITOUT
Does anybody have a suggestion for a decent torque wrench/driver for mounting scopes, etc? Thanks.
SmilinBob
Wheeler engineering FAT wrench is the way to go, I use it daily in my shop. Most people don't realize the correct torque setting for mounting, 15-25 inch pounds isn't that much, and it's all thats needed. I had a chance to handle a weaver on a t dealer show and it fell apart in my hands, after that I didn't order it and the rep didn't have much to say about it either. LMITOUT
That's interesting. Since I posted the question I've been doing some researching and most have said the Wheeler is junk and the Weaver seems to be better. Go figure! Thanks for your input. waskawood
I bought a ratcheting torque wrench off HSOList. Mine was a Proto but any quality brand will work. Just make sure it is an inch/pound wrench.
Selmer
My Wheeler FAT wrench has been going strong for five years now, works great! I use it for torquing actions, bases, rings, etc.
