Jim Almquist
The lack of a cold winter has pretty much messed that up. What makes for good viewing is a cold winter were most of the river is froze so they have a limited amount of open water to fish. We had 3 Eagles by us while fishing up by Ely this weekend. Sturg
I live near a nest in the south metro and they are sitting on eggs now. I have a friend who had a large group of eagles on her lake near Hastings last year at this time, but hasn't seen any numbers this year yet. Food is much easier to find this year. MN Shutterbug
I was at Colvill Park at Red Wing yesterday for a few hours, and though I saw quite a few, they were happy to just ride the thermals all afternoon. They just hung up in the clouds and enjoyed the weather.
