TrophyEyes
We have a group that has permission to hunt some land out by Larimore/Petersburg in the fall, but we were rolling around the idea of doing a spring snow goose hunt. We have a couple hundred snow goose decoys, but heard that during the spring the Snows are not in that area. Does anyone hunt around there or know if the Snow Geese come through that area? Thanks for your help.
cbrooks
There are some but not the numbers the further west you go. Last year I always ended up by Devils lake or Jamestown to find the high high numbers. Its not too hard to find land to hunt in the spring. Fred_Bear
Draw an imaginary line from the Glacial Lakes Region in SD to to the Devils Lake Region in ND. IMO somewhere on or close to that line is where you will find the highest concentration of Snows for the spring season.Cbrooks was right on about having plenty of land available to hunt. Go where the birds are, not where you have land already line up. I've successfully hunted ND for the last 5 years now and never once did I know a landowner until I knocked on their door asking for permission.
