High barometric pressure=Impossible Ski's?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I NEED advise. I fished hard all weekend and not 1 follow. I saw muskies cruising just under the surface over 20-30 feet of water but not a one would turn on my lures. I threw buck tails, cranks (both erratic and steady retreives), and Jerks. NOT A FOLLOW??..Is there any way to get these fish interested when the barometric pressure is high or should I just stick to fishing when the weather is crappy?

If it makes you feel any better, I we (Fisherdog and I) had a mess of follows yesterday, but no fish would bite. One step closer than you, but the exact same results.

Scoot, Was that on Detroit? It seems to me that Fisherdog fishes detroit lake. If so, i gotta believe you. I have seen more muskies in detroit than on any other lake. My brother and I fished it on opener. He got 2 and I missed 2 at boatside. TONS of other follows as well. Great lake regardsless of the pleasure boaters.

From what I understand it can be a good lake, but you're definitely right that it can be a battle fighting off all of the jet and water skiers. I had a good time- fisherdog definitely knows the lake well and put us in the right spots. We just couldn't get the fish to cooperate.
