Iowa?

I've hunted Nebraska in the past, and I see alot of guys on here that hunt WI, SD, NE, MO and KS, but not too many that hunt Iowa. I'm assuming it is partially because of the cost.

The way I understand it is a guy needs to buy a non-resident turkey license and a non-resident small game license to hunt Iowa. That adds up to $225 or so. Is this right?

The reason I ask all of this is because a good friend of mine can get me into some pretty good private ground in the Council Bluffs area. I didnt apply this year but intend to do some scouting and farmer relations this spring. It sounds like there are quite a few birds in this area so we'll see if its worth the money on the licenses. any advice would be appreciated.

A good friend of mine is from Iowa and they have a bluff cabin down there so he turkey hunts there. You are correct on the cost. You can stretch out the hunt over a few weekends if you apply for the right time period.
