Bulk unpainted lead jig heads

I have taken a fancy to heating painting my own jig heads. Last year I bought a heat gun and some powder paint. Heat, dip, paint an eye, bake.

I want to make a few more this year. I am having a hard time finding unpainted jigs in bulk at a decent price. I really only want 1/8th ounce. I might want to try some of the stand up jigs or the short shank bait jigs.

Anyone know where I can get a 100 or so in 1/8th, #1 size hook?

Thanks

Riddle me this batman. What is the Big E store? Sorry if it is obvious.

I am a live bait guy. Minnows mostly. I wonder if the painted jig head attracts the walleye and then he wants to nip the minnow off, making a longer hook better. Or....painted jig head attracts the walleye and he inhales the entire offering, making the shorter hook more efficient.

Thoughts i had last night as I was looking for jigs.

A well known online auction site is the answer to your riddle. On the second question I am a firm believer in long shanks for walleye. Unless they are very agressive the walleye rarely inhales the jig and all. More often than not they will attempt to pick the bait from the jig. We have seen a big hook up increase since we switched to longer shanked hooks. The same goes for ice fishing spoons. Adding a wire clip to get the treble further from the spoon has really worked well.
