Northern fishing in the Spring at Lake Oahe, South Dakota

Lake Oahe is great right after ice out.

You can go without a boat and fish from shore at any of the fingers.

Cow Creek and Spring Creek north of Pierre So. Dakota are great. They will be opening up soon so check with the bait shops.

It's a little muddy if you're bank fishing.

They have good ramps if you pull a boat.
