My birds from the bog.

A friend and I met up at the bog on Sunday and Monday and saw a good variety. Besides the ones I didn't get photos of, we also say a Magpie, Eagle, Hawk, Pine Grosbeaks and Evening Grosbeaks, and of course plenty of Black-capped Chickadees. These are actually my first photos of a Hairy Woodpecker and also of a RB Nuthatch. Surprisingly, we didn't see a single WB Nuthatch. It was a good time.

Thanks for all the comments. It's not a trip I can afford too often. I tallied 1050 miles by the time I got home. This last photo, although not that good, I think is kind of comical. I think he'd had enough of me by this time. He looks a bit angry. Maybe it's his way of mooning me. I find it interesting what others favorites are. If I were to choose, it would be the Nuthatch and Redpolls.
