fishuhalik
Hey all, I'm gonna be moving to the Williston area for work in about a month and I was wondering what there is for outdoors opportunities. I know there's hunting in the fall, but that's a long ways away! I'm gonna be working a 2 weeks on, 1 week off schedule, but coming home on my week off to be with my family. However, I'm sure I'll have a few hours off during those 2 weeks & since i dont do bars or gentlemans clubs I need to find something to do. Not looking for hotspots, I can find those on my own, just need to know if there's any good lakes around. Thanks!
kfk
Lake Sakakawea has some great fishing that you'll be close to and if you're still out there in the spring/summer, be sure you give paddlefishing a try. Check out Scenic Sports in Williston for the best info on what's going on out there. If you're going to work in the oil fields be careful. Good Luck. skee0025
Theres a small lake east of Williston, the name is blacktail dam if i remember correctly. It has some nice sized jumbo perch and nice sized panfish. My mother in law used to have a cabin in it. During one of the DNR nettings they pulled out what would be a state record bluegill if it gets caught. good numbers of crappie, sunnies and perch. Caught quite a few pike also. lispeej
Either on your way to or from home, you could hit up devils lake, nd. It is essentially the: Walleye, jumbo perch, northern, whitebass capital of the world!!
