Best Lowrance Lake Mapping Avalable?

clam up

Question

OK Folks...time for me to upgrade from the old lakemaster card. I run a Lowrance H20 in the winter and an HDS7 on the boat. In your opinion, what is the best available lake mapping out there for MN? I am leaning towards finding the most recent Lakemaster Version that was released before the Bird took them over. Thoughts? I run the navionics phone app as well, but I'd like some better detail, which I've seen from past Lakemaster cards. I don't care how many posted topics we've had in the past on this....spit it out again please, while taking into acocunt that the 2012 Lakemaster isn't available for Lowrance.

thanks

I have the 2010 Lakemaster Chips for my HDS 7 and it works perfect. I also have the Navionics app and it is nice to have both because there are times Navionics has things LakeMaster doesnt.

FYI Lowrance just announced that they will be offering their own mapping with High Definition in 1 and 3 ft contours for the central US (including MN) for something like 650 lakes.

I dont know if they are doing this themselves or working with someone else to do it, but there are new options on the horizon.

Just saw a facebook thing that Lowrance is coming out with some new mapping stuff

NEW 2012 Mapping - Lowrance announces new Lake and Nautic Insight HD and PRO 2012 mapping coming in next few months

Looks like the information is on Lowrance web site under products/mapping

Thanks for the info fella's. I stopped by Gander and they had a couple of the versions of the most recent Lakemaster that still works with Lowrance models. Case closed. This one should last me many years.
