I WAS NOT WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE FOR TIP UP PAGERS. SO I CAME UP WITH MY OWN.. YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE 110 IN YOUR FISH HOUSE.. I WENT TO HOME DEPOT BOUGHT WIRELESS DOOR ALARM 25.00 PLUGS RIGHT IN TO OUT LET.. EACH TRANSMITTER WAS 7.00 MADE FOR PATIO DOORS OR FRONT DOORS. WHEN THE MAGNET SEPERATES ( DING DONG ) BOLT OUT SIDE AND PULL UP TIP UP!! WORKS GREAT.. THE TRANSMITTER I SCREWD ONE SIDE TO THE WOOD TIP UP. AND THE OTHER HALF OF MAGNET ELECTRICAL TAPE AROUND THE FLAG WIRE. WORKS ABOUT 100FT. WORKS AWESOME FOR 1/3 THE PRICE ILL TRY AND GET SOME PICTURES TONIGHT.. I MISS WAY LESS FISH...

Stealth...

Did exactly the same thing about 10 years ago from the same store. They're still going strong. Great entertainment for those I fish with , too. Everyone starts out giving me guff, and ends up waiting for my "guests" to ring the doorbell. Kudos on "stickin it to the man" by using your head rather than your wallet. My system is strictly battery operated so I don't need any power source other than batteries.

perchking,

Haven't mastered uploading pics to this site, but it's so easy I think I can describe it well enough. I've got the heavy wood tip-ups. A 3" flat 90 degree angle bracket with the doorbell taped to it at the tip-up flag spring height. Screw the bracket into the tip-up at the point where the flag spring will depress the button when it trips and walla...your alarm. If memory serves me right, I bent the angle bracket a bit past the 90 degree angle to get enough spring force to depress the button.
