Murky Water Walleye

Recommended Posts

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I've been out on my lake and have been skunked on the walleye so far. Any tips to keep the crappies off the line and bag a walleye? I've tried glo jigs with fatheads, regular hook and sinker with fathead, 1/4 and 1/8oz buckshots tipped with minnow heads.

I have been finding walleyes anywhere from 9'-20' depending on lake and structure.

If you are having problems with crappies taking the bait, first you have to be confident there are walleyes in the area you are fishing. If you have located them on camera or have caught them there historically, you can run your bait tighter to the bottom and/or upsize your bait (shiners, chubs, or suckers) to prevent some of the crappies from hitting.
