Amsoil and New Motors

I got a new chainsaw for Christmas and it comes with a container of oil to be mixed at 40:1.

Can I run Amsoil through this at ~90:1. I run that through my auger and would prefer not to have to have two mixed gas can laying around.

If it were mine, I'd run a couple tanks of what they gave you, then switch to Amsoil.

Either do as lightning said or start out with the Amsoil at a richer mix like 60:1 or so for a few tanks. Then I would go 90:1. Thats what I did with my Nils augers and they have ran great with the Amsoil Saber. I use it in all my weed wackers, leaf blowers etc.

I would break it in with the stuff that came with it, then switch over.

That's what I was thinking, I just didn't want to waste my time with the 40:1 if I didn't have to.
