Spike76
First change your presentation. If you aren't using a live decoy I would get one. Change your wooden decoy to another color or only use one at a time. If this doesn't help I would move to another location on the lake. I've been spearing about 13 miles north of Brainerd and it has been a good start to the season. Welcome to the forums and good luck spearing. It's all trial and error. Gordie
Sometimes they are just like that. Yep and welcome to the wonderful world of spearing. Sometimes you may sit for up to three days or more with out seing a pike it can be like deer hunting .I typically sit in one sot with my perm for no more than 3 days with out seeing before I move but I tend to move after the second day. Another thing to remember is the later in the season and the more pressure that is on the lake can make things slow way down.
MJ1657
The last two winters I spent 5 days a week on the ice on the same lake spearing. My experience was that I could not find any regular pattern to them regardless of weather conditions.
Laska
If I see pike one day n none the next I move, whenever I go a day w/o seeing anything I move.
