What do you sit on in your HUB shack?

Buckets only work for short trips and only if your back can handle it..

The tripod nut busters don't work for me either.. for obvious reasons..

I've found the director's type chairs work the best for me and my back.. they are lightweight aluminum and fold up easily but can be somewhat bulky at times.

There's no perfect chair in my opinion or else I would have one already.

I have the nut buster one and don't really care full it. smile

I have tried the camping chairs that fold up and slide in a bag. I thought those would be nice, comfortable, have a back rest and a soda holder and bait holder or junk holder on each side. The only bad part is it seems that I sit to far back from my holes.

I'm curious about the director chair ones now.

Fleet Farm had a great looking and comfortable chair in their ice fishing area. Lightweight aluminum frame with blue fabric and a zip pocket under the seat. Seemed to sit up nicely.

I have a present under the tree that looks oddly the same size... wink

I picked up one of the A-Rest Hunting chairs form Sportmensdirect. A bit on the pricey side at ~$45 but after I watched the youtube video on this chair these were the things that I liked.

1. the ability to lean forward with the chair to get things in front of you (fish, adjust vex etc).

2. Was comfortable with a back rest, whenI sit on a bucket my back starts to kill me, like to lean back once and wile.

3. No arms in the way and did I say comfortable, the camping folding chairs always dig into the back of my legs.

4. Folds up and is sturdy

I got the ice camo, was a little cheaper and with my camo otter there is no way people will see me now. Here is a photo of the chair in the mossey oak camo I believe.

I took out my Otter seat, not because it was uncomfortable but because it used up too much room. Now I sit in a folding lawn chair and I'm very happy with it. Light, comfortable, and uses a minimum of room. Plus on days when I want to hole-hop and use my house as kind of a 'base camp' or warming station, the chair is easy to take out and use outside.
