Tom7227
I put some in the garage that have the ability to work in the cold. One of the 5 keeps eating bulbs. I bought a new set of bulbs and replaced them maybe 3 months ago and now the fixture is intermittent at best in lighting up. Could there be a cause other than a bad ballast? I am wondering if I can find a ballast for the relatively cheap fixture I bought at Menards. PITA if I have to replace the entire fixture.
nobody05
you can buy just the ballast at menards. I put menards 8' fluorescents in my shop 6 of them to be exact. IMO the biggest pieces of junk I put in. Within 8 years all of them lost the ballast and went through about 12 bulbs. Bought 6 new fixtures from an electriction, well not 1 bulb and not 1 ballast problem in 5 years.
