F150 Blend Door Issue

Does anyone have a guestimate on how much replacing a blend door in the heater system of an 08 F150 runs. My heat is either off or on. I've read a bit about it and it sounds like the entire dash has to come off to get to the blend door.

So its either hot or cold but regardless the blower is still working, correct?

I had that problem with my '07. The fan worked, but it was either full hot, or full cold. The hot/cold buttons did nothing. I was able to pop it loose once or twice by cycling between full cold and full hot, but eventually it just stuck. I want to say the replacement part was pretty cheap, and with labor it was around $200.

More often then not it is just the blend door motor that goes bad, but sometimes the blend door motor can bust the blend door, then you have to replace the heater box, which then you have to remove the dash.

Correct. The blower works fine and I can cycle through the defrost, dash and floor vents. It's just hot or cold.
