Floor insulation

I have a 16x8 ice castle and can get it spray foamed for 300 or do sheets

for 120. I like the spray foam but wife thinks cheaper is better. Any help

Cheaper is most definitely NOT better> spend the money on the spray foam it will help solidify your house and make it more airtight and will save you on propane heating cost. which will in turn help pay for the extra expense.

Spray it! Spray locks up every crack or void in the construction. Spray also strengthens the floor. Not to mention when your wife is wearing her slippers on a warm dry floor fishing verses boots on a cold wet/frozen floor the extra money will be worth it.

$300 ? No brainer ... not at all. $300 is a steal. Do it!!!!

I'm still not convinced that insulating the floor is necessary. My floor isn't insulated and I've never noticed it being cold? With all the open holes in the floor for fishing seems that if the cold was gonna get in it would go through them. But....$300 does sound very cheap

I have a homemade house -- 8 x 12 and I insulated mine last year and I saw a big difference. I checked into spray insulation and i was quoted like $800. So I used the styrofoam and cut it to fit.

$300 ... no brainer
