I went for the first time last year. It was cold, but we had a blast! Very well run all around, but the parking was still a pain, even though it was run well. That's a LOT of people out there smile

I caught a perch and placed 135th or something, and the perch came at about 45 seconds into the contest! We caught a few more, but really most fish were cuaght in the first half hour, and maybe the first 20 minutes.

Was a blast, we will be getting there earlier this year, both for parking purposes but also for getting holes where we all can sit together. Got there to darn late last year. But had a blast!

Four buddies and I participated for the first time. Found getting there via BIR was very efficient and the tourney was a blast, although our beer froze the moment we cracked 'em open so it was tough to catch a buzz! No light beer next year if it's that cold. Maybe Guinness wouldn't freeze as fast.. or we'll just have to stick to RedHot100 http://www.hotspotoutdoors.com/forum/images/icons/default/smirk.gif

One major downfall was the chaotic process of leaving the lake and loading on to the buses. Still cannot believe how terribly organized that was. There's gotta be a better way. Any body ever try parking on Round Lake of HoleInTheDay and walking over?? Would love to return for many years to come, but will NEVER deal with that mess again.
