Lab pups by Bemidji??

Been looking for a good lab pup with good breeding AND good health guarantees, found a kennel by Bemidji called Torgs Labs

The info looks good, nice pedigrees, health guarantees, they do lots of hunt tests, etc. Downside is they have ten females and three stud dogs - is this a puppy mill?

Give me your thoughts?? Anybody have a pup from these guys? Thumbs up or thumbs down??

I should add I'm looking for a yellow female, I like females because they listen better and my current lab is black, I like to alternate so I can tell them apart when I hunt them together.

Jim and Linda's pup's are fine have all there health clearences, and have been at least tested to the JH in hunt test, if the sire is Stoney he was raised, trained and campaind to QAA by Rick Stawski of Fine Line Retrievers a young dog FT pro. Jim later put the MH title on Stoney.

They specialise in Yellows but go over the top advertising and selling Fox red at a higher price, bottom line there dark yellows but to each there own. But they do have all there health clearences and they test there dogs. If ther litter is out of a dark yellow named "Topshelfs Snap Decision" Snapper all the better he just got a 3rd. in the open last weekend down in Alabama.... Either way you can't go wrong with Torgs Labs if your looking for a yeller dog

Thanks for the reply Todd!! Yes the pup would be out of Stoney x Katie.

I'm not real fond of breeders that breed for color either - can you say 'marketing' - but their labs are a combo of yellow and red, with the trialing background and health tests that I wanted to see. Looking at the pictures on their HSOforum, the pups are lighter colored, not dark red. And since I plan on getting the pup fixed, I don't care what background color they may have and throw for pups.
