Brenneke Gold Magnum

So I stopped by the farm yesterday to grab some slugs. I reached to grab the Brenneke Magnum, and when I got home I noticed they were the Gold Magnum... says on the box and their HSOforum only to shoot out of rifled barrel. Thoughts on shooting them out of my smooth bore bps?

Have some old rifled slugs, and I can always go back - but i'm pretty sure they won't let me return the ammo to get what I wanted.

you may or may not notice an accuracy difference inside 40 yards, but with no rifling to stabilize the bullet, I doubt that they will be effective beyond 50.

If you have your reciept, they should take them back......if you are shooting a smooth bore, buy some Federal True ball slugs. They work really well. Most of the guys I hunt with in Iowa use them now

Most stores say no returns of any kind for any ammo. For liability reasons.

Go blow up some pumpkins. The store won't take them back, receipt or no. I've made the mistake before with a case of 20ga shells when i thought i was buying 12ga...I just posted them on HSO for sale and took a loss. You will have significant accuracy loss with no rifiling.

You are looking at this all wrong....

You need to look at this as an opportunity.

Now you HAVE to buy the rifled barrel. Otherwise those slugs go to waste.
