NASCAR penalties from this past weekend

Sounds like the 00,56 and 47 were penalized and have the loss of their crew chief's for a bit of time.

Loss of 25 points, fined and crew chiefs suspended for the remainder of the season for unapproved parts.

The shaving the tops of the windshields to be thinner to create a tiny lip where the windshield meets the car in order to disrupt air flow to the spoiler was very, very creative.

Racers alway find a little way that is not approved to beat the rules.

Funny thing is, most all the time, they get caught. I guess we do not here about the ones that don't simply due to the fact they did not get caught yet.

If one takes the time they took to find a way to get faster legally, they would not lose points and may get faster within the rules.

I know, the part of beating the rules is the way to get alot faster.

Mikey seems to get caught cheating...a lot.

And he still can't win! Well, I guess he did win that truck race at Daytona, I believe....with no rear spoiler on the truck when he crossed the finish line. Hmmmm...

Can't remember who it was but I remember hearing someone was busted with an illegal windshield in the pre-race inspection and had to change it out. Must have been a tip off to check 'em all.

I was wondering how you could have an illegal windshield but now I know.
