I went to the Miss.River backwaters for an hour late in the afternoon yesterday...walked out , drilled a couple holes. I sat down and was clearing one of the holes when a MINK came zinging out of it and ran across the ice. Almost had a stroke. Last year in the shack I had a muskrat come up a hole, but never came out on the ice. Just goes to show you never know what lurks just under your rump, eh?

LOL, it could have been worse, it could have grabbed a hold of your line and then you might not have realized until you went to lip it I think that would make me jump a little too.

A muskrat actually tried building a little house in our permanent last winter. There were stick and dump everywhere.
