Gus
I feel really stupid having to ask this question but I am looking for the differences between wax worms, meal worms, spikes, and what ever else is sold for bait. Thanks
CrappieJohn
Gus...Waxies are the largest of the "grub" baits and are bee larva.Mealworms are found and raised in products containing a large amount of flour or whet/oat residue. They have a slightly thinner profile and have sort of a hard shell. Spikes are small ,round, grubs found in goldenrod stems. And maggots...well, they just are. All will catch fish, but unless you are into very specific fishing use the waxies. Euro larva are waxie-like only colored and will yield the same results. Ice fishing with bait has gotten almost as complex as fishing with plastics in open water. Take load off, buy the waxies, go fish ------------------Sure life happens- why wait....The Crapster....good fishing guys![email protected]
