Fuel in airbox?

Recommended Posts

Today I was replacing the spark plugs in my '05 Colorado (5 cyl) and was taking the airbox??(not the filter housing but the secondary box before the air intake) off to get at the plugs and it was filled with about 1/4 cup of fuel. This is the 3rd time I've pulled the box to replace plugs and never seen this before. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Nothing different other than it stuttered slightly after startup, but that was a normal sign when the plugs needed to be replaced. And the new plugs fixed that.

How do I check the regulator? Fuel did seem to be dripping from that small line. Should I just replace the regulator?

If its dripping from the small line it is leaking. You are one backfire away from burning the truck down at this point. It is not uncommon for us to see this happen at the shop with this style setup! Especially the straight six in the trailblazer since they are more common.

There is one bolt that holds it to the fuel rail, you will need a torx bit to remove it. I don't remember if this has the threaded nut that holds the return line to it or nut. It shouldbe obvious if it does.
