hockeybc69
I came upon a nice find yesterday for a pellet source.Typically you can expect to pay around $15 for 20 lbs of pellets that are bagged for grill use.DJ's heating sells 1 lb bags for $5!!! The intent of those pellets is to add to charcoal and not for primary heating source though.Turns out DJ's has wood pellet stoves for heating. I inquired about the pellets and if they could be used for smoker/grills. They said they didnt think so.I contacted the company direct and the pellets they manufacture contains a mix of all freshly harvested hardwoods. No scrap wood such as pallets or anything is used. There are no chemicals or glues added. The guy I talked with said they have a wood pellet grill onsite and use these pellets all the time ffor employee cookouts.A 40lb bag of these pellets is $4.50...... I found a new pellet source.!!!
