luckycrank
I am curious to see what the response is here.I am in the process of tracking down the CO's Phone# prior to ever doing so anyway but here goes The taking in open water rule states you must be in natural cover sufficient enough to hide hunters in order to be legal. Tree canopy counts as natural vegitation am I not mistaken. If the area you wish to hunt is a protected bird area, can you still hunt it in the event your in natural vegitation and in the water, as long as your not on the land? Or state park for that matter.? Sorry, dude. But your message here is really hard to read, much less follow, with the lack of punctuation and mis-spellings. Just saying..... BoxMN
If you legally accessed the water, and are IN the water, even if hidden by "protected" vegetation overhanging from the protected land (I am guessing an island maybe?) you are okay, from what I have learned. Good hunting! Might not be bad thing to contact the local CO though - when we did we learned we could actually hunt MORE areas than we though
