Dock Boy
Hello to all. I have a Browning Bar 30.06 that I'm going to sell, but I'm not sure what to ask for it. It's in great condition and rarely shot. Nice wood stock with no damage. I'm selling the gun alone no scope. Not sure what year it is, but it has a few year on her. Wondering what I should price it at. If anyone's interested they can also let me know. Thanks for the help!!
TooTallTom
Hi Dock Boy, I can't tell you what your rifle is worth. But you can get an idea by searching the internet for firearms-sales sites and searching those for your rifle. You might have to make your own decisions about condition, etc but you could at least get in the neighborhood. I'd suggest some sites, but that would only get this post clipped by the mods. I saw one for sale this year at the big C when they had their big gun sale the wood was in good shape with no cracks with an average scope for $200 The safari models (engraved scenes on the receivers) go for $50 to $75 more. They were a good gun in thier day but these days most people opt for the bolts over the semi's

picksbigwagon
I just did a quick search at gun broker and they were numerous BAR's at the 500 dollar mark, the belgium made ones were mid 6 and above, the better the grades, the better the prices
Dock Boy
Too Tall I have emailed you. I need to find out little more info on the rifle. I believe its a Safari model it has nice engravings. Any ideas how I find out more info on the gun as to model and such? Maybe a model number or something on the gun itself. I'll have to go get it out of the safe and look it over a bit.
hunt fish repeat
This is the one I snapped up from the big C actual price was $219.99 the serial numbers are just above the trigger guard and can be used to look up the pricing. Mine says made in Belgium assembled in Portugal on the barrel. This is what the standard model looks like if your receiver is engraved with a wildlife scene that is the Safari model. Dock Boy
Too Tall, I got your email, but it didn't show any writing in it. I scrolled up and down with nothing, no attachments also. I did run the serial number and it looks like its a Safari Mark II. Good Looking gun. It's for sale headed out today to pick my new Kimber!! There is no way that a Browning BAR is selling for $219 regardless of any sale. That's a $550 or more gun all day long without a scope.
