License questions for different states

Recommended Posts

I attend college in wisconsin, and have purchased small game and duck hunting stamps as a wisconsin resident. I checked, and since I attend schoool full time in Wisconsin, I am considered a resident there. But now I want to come home and hunt in MN. Can I also purchase resident licenses in MN as well?

And what if i do get checked; is there a way they'd see I'd I had resident licenses in Wisconsin too? And what would happen if they found that out? Thanks

(And I havent purchased MN licenses yet. I'll be home in 2 weeks, so I wanna know ahead of time. I dont want to lose my gun or anything)

Make sure you have your college ID on you and stay within the requirements of being able to claim the residency at your school and your good to go. Wardens do check into non-res student licenses year to year; I know a few people got tickets last year in SD, and a friend of mine was 1 credit short of being a full time student in ND and it cost him $700.
