Still plenty of water around, most of the lakes/rivers would be considered as being in a 'high water' stage. However, it has been dry the past month or two so there are not as many potholes and sloughs holding water as there were last year.

The current stretch of nice weather will likely see the beans come out in the next few days to a week, and the corn will likely follow shortly after. I have seen lots of combines out the past few days when I have been out and about.

Having said that, there are a lot of ducks around. Pheasant numbers are down, especially from the last couple years, but birds are still plentiful.

Spent three days with my brother near Redfield last week. My nephew lives there now and the pheasants were down compared to the past years, but ducks and geese were plentiful. Late afternoon set ups and early morning in picked corn were great. Lots of mallards, and some pintails mixed in. It was a great three days, beautiful weather.....good luck cool
