bkerschner70
Was wondering if anyone would be willing to show me how to winterize my boat. I was thinking about paying a shop to do it this year but that won't teach me anything. If anyone would be interested I am in Vadnais Heights. I am willing to pay something for the help as well. Thanks guys.

Sorgy
I normally change out my lower unit grease around Labor Day and Change the oil. After that i continue to use the boat up until November. I like to top off my fuel tank and stabilize the fuel the last weekend I use my boat. I also hit the grease zerks for the steering. A tip on changing the oil is to rais the motor all the way up- then remove the oil drain plug and tip it down while holding the oil pan up to catch the oil. A sencond person is helpful to trim the motor down and up.Good LuckWhat am I missing when I winterize my rig? I change the lower unit early but if I had any sign of water in the lower unit I would change it late in the year..By the way I run the 115 4 stroke
delcecchi
Isn't it change the oil, change the lower unit lube, stabil in the gas? Do they fog 4 strokes? Ever winterize a 2 stroke? I'd help but it might be a few weeks until I am up that way.
