This is how to check the hours on a Suzuki motor

Just read about this last night and thought I should share it.

Turn the key on, watch the RPM guage, whatever number it goes up to take a zero off the end. For every flash of the check engine light add 500 hours.

EX)1800 RPM = 180 hours

5000 RPM = 500 hours

just curious, how many hours is a lot of hours? not like you have a frame of reference the same as miles on an engine?
