Lost In The Driftless

Driftless

A couple of my friends decided to come fish the fabled waters of the driftless area last week. They were from Ohio and Tennessee and had never seen this area before.

They left with the promise to return and maybe stay here and possibly get lost permanently.

1,263 miles of designated trout streams in the 4 counties I fish in alone. Many of the non-designated water is better than the Homogenized Water. Number gleaned from article on Wisconsin's Driftless Area from 2010 August American Angler Magazine article. "The Driftless Heart"

No one could fish all the streams in a lifetime.

I believe your riffle is safe.

Sorry to hear that. Looks like next year they'll be in MY riffle when I want to drop an #18 Adams in it.

I hit the trout streams about 60 times a season. The only people I see are my friends I fish with or possibly the landowners.

Oh wait, I think I saw a kid fishing a worm on Big Spring downstream of Spurgeon Vineyards. Hope that is not YOUR riffle. frown
