Parking at Gopher football game

Heading to the gopher game this Sat. if I can score some tickets. How will it be getting to the game and finding parking? How early should one arrive? Stroke the post baby, go gophers!!

Most of the on-campus parking is by season pass. Look online to figure out which of the out-laying lots are game-day parking but expect a long walk or to find a shuttle. The State Fair grounds are a good alternative and have buses running before and after games. The only down side that I've noticed is that the wait to get on the buses after the game can be a little long but not terrible.

We take the lightrail and then walk through campus from the west bank. You can also catch shuttles from the West Bank of campus if you don't want to walk the entire way. I find that it's a good workout after eating my Gopher dogs at the stadium.

Park at the state fair. Best option by far. There is tail gating and a bus that takes you on an express route right to the gate. Its a blast

Thanks guys, we'll be coming in from south of the Metro, will consider light rail from near the MOA or get there very early and see if the Oak Street ramp has any parking available, depending on our ticket situation.

I've never tried parking at Oak Street, but just be prepared that traffic will be insane going in and out.

Tailgate lots at the state fair grounds are only $10 if I remember right. I've had season tickets for the past 3 years and until this year I used those lots. I scored a deal on a season pass in a lot a few blocks from the stadium on the East Bank for this season so I've improved my parking situation.
