CD won't eject in my truck

I can't get a cd to eject out of my truck's sound system, just hear a "whirling noise". Any tricks before I have a pro look at it?

Some guy I used to work withs kids put 10 pennies in his CD player, so could be worse.

Model would be useful information. Most aftermarket players have a reset button that you push and hold. Try a reset and then eject. Otherwise the only way to get them out is to open the player, which really is not all that difficult. Usually there will just be a lid secured by 4 or 6 screws you pop out and you'll have direct access to the CD. However, if the eject mechanism is what is damaged you are best off replacing the unit.

Unplug the harness from the back of the deck. If you can't get to it, pull the fuse momentarily. This has worked for me in the past.

It is a radio, cassette and one cd unit from the factory, great sound though. It will still play the cd, but when I press the eject button it makes a clicking sound for about 10 seconds or so. Best to go into an auto shop or take it to a place that installs these units? Otherwise going to get sick of listening to that one cd!!!! Still have the radio though!

Most CD players have a small hole somewhere on the front that will allow you to pit in a paperclip sized pin and it should eject the disk.

Yup, use a paper clip. But if something broke in the radio then you might be s.o.l.
