Dog door in Sliding glass door

I'm thinking of putting in a door so my dog can go in and out by himself. Anyone use one that works well for our Minnesota weather.What type do you recommend? Thanks DrJ.

I believe we have the PetSafe insert. We haven't had any problems and it works great.

However, because the slider always stays ajar I bought a thick piece of foam weather stripping and stuffed that between the glass to keep the cold air from coming in.
