I am hoping to fish Grindstone for the first time ever next week. Walleyes and small-mouths. Any suggestions on where to start and what to use would be appreciated. I am not a troller.

Thanks Dan

I haven't been out there for a couple of weeks but at that time we were getting a few walleyes on some of the deeper humps (topping off at 16 to 18 feet.) Also some of the weed lines but you can expect a mix of walleyes and bass there. That was at prime time but a friend has been picking them up during the day suspended over deeper water but then he trolls for them.

You shouldn't have trouble picking up fish out there. If the walleyes aren't cooperating, there's plenty of bass out there to keep you busy.
