Raspberry Syrup

Recommended Posts

I made some raspberry syrup the other day and its awsome just wondering if any of you guys make it and how you do it?

I started with a couple pints of fresh piked raspberrys and put them in a 2 quart pan after spraying with a nonstick spray and coverd with water and brought to a boil and as the berrys were in the boil I mashed and stired it up.

After it was mush I let it simmer for about 5 min then added a cup of sugar brought back ou to a boil stiring until I figured sugar was disolved.

Then I strained out the berrys and seed s put the jucie back in the pan started a low flame added a bit of corn starch to thicken up and poured into a conainer.

Fresh raspberry syrup for panckes, waffle or making raspberry shakes.

I actually make Raspberry syrup - it is Great on everything. What I do is de seed them 1st. This is a very Sweet syrup.

8 Cups berries to start, after deseeding usually end up with 4 Cups Berry Juice

2 Cups water

2 Cups sugar

1 Cup of Light Corn Syrup

Bring to a boil while stirring constantly, turn temp down to simmer (I usually simmer for 10 Minutes)allow to cool, remove any foam stuff from top. Put in the clear condiment containers with snap on cover. Keep refridgerated, until gone.
