Garage door opener

Seems my door opener works when it feels like it.

I figured it was the eye along the floor that was the issue.

I played with changing the direction so they would hit and it worked for awhile but now I am back to the same issue.

It seems to move after going up and down a few times amd then I can only use the remore on the garage wall and I have to hold the button down to get it to go up and down.

If I just hit the button, it may go down half way or part of the way and stop.

How in the world does one adjust the two boxes to align on each rail on the door so it will go up and down all the way without stopping wherever??

Very frustrating.

the eyes should have a little led light on them. one eye will be yellow, the other green. i believe the green lit eye is the receiving eye, so it should be pointed away from most sun exposure, for one thing. also, some eyes will show the lights on them, are they bright? the brighter the led lights are, the more "zeroed" in the aim is at each other. after wadenas tornado last summer, i replaced dozens of garage doors, openers, and complete tracks. the eyes were very easy to adjust. is there a reason why you would want the eyes installed? kids, pets, etc? some people asked me to eliminate them for this very reason, but being a pro, i can not do it. i can tell them, if they wish, they can mount them on the wall face to face.

also, you should be able to adjust to set screws to increase/decrease the opening/closing force applied by the opener. remember, its not the two screws that adjust closing/opening height!!!!!
