Buying used electronics online

I've sold plenty of used electronics (both ice & open water) on C List that I'd owned and used.

I've honestly told the buyers, if you have a problem with it, please let me know.

While I may not be like most sellers, what I'm selling has been my pride and joy, well taken care of, and should work forever if taken care of.

You should be able to get a good feeling from the seller if you trust him or not. Thats what'll make you a buyer!

+1 on Hanson's reply.

I would add that do some homework on reliability reputation on the unit/manufacturer of the elecronics you are purchasing. If it has bad rep or bad cust service support I would think twice about buying a high end item.

For example, I bought a Marcum LX-3tc. I did my homework, and found that there were a fair amount if issues posted on this unit, but there rep for standing behind their product was so good I pulled the trigger. Well ended up having issues with the product, brought it to Marcum - they replaced the head electronics & transducer at no cost, no questions asked.

Hanson does take good care of his stuff from what I have seen and I firmly believe what he posted. I mirror pretty much what Hanson said. If I do tell someone this as the funds are exchanged, I will follow through on it if an unforeseen failure was to occur. I buy used but buying used elec. and such is gamble even if taken care of the best way possible. Used anything is just that and just like screwing in a used light bulb. You have no clue as to how long it will last.

Mike bring forward some sound advice as well. I compared Daves on-line prices awhile back to some real low priced drop ship websites. Dave came in cheaper with what they had in stock that matched what Dave had at his store. I have no doubt Dave treats everyone right, but never hurts to call him and if you do or go down to see Dave, just mention HSO and you will probably get some current fishing reports also. wink
