Travelling to Kansas City- some help.

A few buddies and me are going to go to Kansas City for the Vikings game in early October.

For those of you who have travelled to KC- can I get some tips on where to stay, where to eat and where to drink some beers?

We are figuring on staying in an area where we would drink/eat. We would hit the stadium on the way outta town- basically.

There are some hotels across the road from Cabelas in KCK, by the racetrack. Nice Irish style pub there as well.

I stayed in Lenexa (suburb) when we went down for the race. there was a race, chiefs game and college game all in that same weekend. I dont remember the hotel, but there was a number of resuarants and bars in that area within walking distance of the cluster of hotels.
