Chuck-B
Looking for someone who bought a natural gas conversion kit for a Master Forge Grill. Lowes is the exclusive seller for Master Forge. I need a copy of the instruction manual for the natural gas conversion kit. Lowes sold me one without a manual and now they want to charge me $20 to send a copy. Considering plumbing it without the kit so I can take the kit back and tell them to F off but I need to know what I need to do to the grill first. Thanks for any help I can get
Redlantern
What are you converting it from? I'll assume LP. you can get 2,500 btu's from a cubic foot of LP while at the same density, only 1,000 btu's from natural gas. So you are going to need to increase the orifice size. Might have to screw around a bit with the air shutter to get it burning the most efficiently. This is all tough to say without actually being there to look at it. My suggestions is to take it back to Lowe's and tell them that it's probably a bad idea for them to sell conversion kits without instructions. Just a lawsuit waiting to happen. Tell this to a manager and not a regular employee. I'll be you get a set of instructions at no cost and that they start sending instructions with the conversion kits after that. You can also tell them that Sears sends the kits and instructions with their appliances (at least they used to).
