Parked car troubles

Recommended Posts

I've inherited an around '00 honda civic that has been parked for a year. After putting a new battery in it and starting it up for the first time I "noticed" and irregular/inconsistent knocking in the engine area.

Do you guys suppose it could be bad gas or something much worse?

The car has +200k on it but I don't remember it there before he parked it, I do know that it has a bad CV boot and I assume that was the reason it was parked.
