ssaamm
I had a good trip the other day--not as good as Dietz--and caught quite a bonus fish. Got a 13in bullhead on a whacky worm. Once the Iowans hear about this method the boys at Berkley won't be able to keep 'em in stock.
Fever
that was good. Iowa jabs always get a chuckle out of me. You just let the cat out of the bag though. I'm sure at least one or two people from Iowa will read this. Look out Berkley, better stock up. I tried deep weed edge -kinda searching with SK 6xd, DD22, Spro little John, & DT16 during league the other night hoping to locate active schooled up fish. I cast parallel to a nice distinct weed edge in clear water. weeds drop of to sand around 11-12fow... nothing. Partner was casting into or perpendicular to weed edge with lipless crank and caught bunches of 10 inchers, 1 16 incher, and 1 12 inch bass. I went to a 1 3/8 oz spinnerbait with a large hammered brass colorado blade and caught the biggest pike of the evening along the deep weed edge.... 1 lb 13 oz. it paid for the night but goes to show you how rare it is to really pin them down and milk out a school.
